Chase me naked to the edge of our madness,
Breathing heavy and gliding across the lawn
of our insecurities. Our feet reach the sand just before the water's darkness. My hesitation to follow you into the water allows the moonlight to capture my naked soul, and makes you frown upon the sight of my pale nervousness. I feel abondoned but not alone as the sand turns to mud under my shivering feet. I stand, the mud oozes around the shape of my toes, as I watch your angelic silhouette disappear into the quiet stillness of the water's glassy surface. Nature's mirror my melancholy madness created from sleepless nights, and nightmares rehearsed from forcing sleep on a calculating mind. "Take my hand," you whisper, "don't be afraid." The words float above the water's surface like c a r t o o n smok e. The simple words laminate to my pale skin and cover the wounds of my soul, the places in me where I bleed tears from a number of others. I place my foot into the water and feel the simple pleasure of the night's temperature. Feeling the footprints you've left behind in places I cannot see, the smoke guides me to the warmth of the water around you. You reach out for me and take my hand, my fingers wrinkled from waiting for your words to heal me, guide me, protect me, steal me.
Tonight we will dream
Surely
We climb
and there WE are.
I spy out of the corner of my eye with no more pain and strife
we will fly
Always the excitement of a heart or two
Such fun. Oh hon
Angel from above,
Why didn't you believe
I see a plea, but
there's no need HOW MY HEART RACES NOW
as the waters take us down.
a desire fulfilled forever.
It's me and you.
Well, wind-like ride
of two mountains,
two rivers,
two hearts,
two minds.
Happy we are the finds
